Dichlorophenyl phosphine oxide is an important organic synthesis intermediate, widely used in the preparation of phosphorus-based flame retardants, plasticizers, defoamers, scale inhibitors, as well as cellulose, polyester, polyurethane, oil additives. The structure contains two active chlorine atoms that are easily reacted with water, alcohols, and amines to produce a wide range of compounds.
